December 21, 2011 - Sontag receives $500 grant from Exxon Mobil

Exxon Mobil has awarded a $500 grant through Arrington Enterprises station at Plateau Plaza to Sontag Elementary School.
It was a part of the company's Educational Alliance Program that awarded a total of $1.8 million in grants this year to schools across the country.
This is the 12th consecutive year for the program, and the Sontag Elementary School was nominated by Arrington Enterprises.
Brian Arrington, Vice President of Operations for AEI, worked with Principal Denny Robey to find a way to best utilize the funds to advance the school's math and science programs.
"We at Arrington Enterprises are excited about having been able to assist Sontag Elementary in receiving the grant," Arrington said.
"In past years, we have been able to help obtain a grant for Boones Mill, Burnt Chimney, and Rocky Mount elementary schools, he added.
